Parsons Grand Theory Talcott Parsons’ Grand Theory is based in the perspective which is commonly referred to as “ morphological functionalism.” Parsons himself, however, preferred the polish “functional abridgment” after it was suggested by his student, Robert Merton(Coser 1975).
